Adrenaline Debut Fight Card Released
May 8, 2008
Adrenaline is a new promotion to the MMA world, it formed from the remnants of M1-Global back in October 07. A bunch of American bigwig investors purchased the faltering MMA promotion and completely restructured it from the ground up. Monte Cox was named CEO, fans may know him as being a veteran of MMA fighting. The company also announced it’s first fighter signed was the worlds number one heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko.
Fedor has since left the organization and it seems he never “officially” signed with them in the first place. Both parties decided it was best to split ways earlier this year. The promotion shifted gears and claimed it would focus more on up and coming MMA athletes and fighters on the verge of stardom. With that announcement we were also given the first fight lineup for Adrenaline’s debut event.
The event will be taking place June 14th at Chicago’s Sears Centre and will feature many well known MMA athletes. The fighters are from all over the world and from almost every fight promotion you can think of, including the UFC, Elite XC and IFL. Fans can look forward to seeing the likes of jeff Monson, Logan Clark, Terry Martin and Brad Imes to name a few.
The main event of the evening will be Jeff Monson a UFC veteran versus Pride Veteran Mike Russow. Both men hold very respectable MMA records and should put on a great show to start off this brand new MMA promotion. The rest of the fights are as follow:
- Terry Martin Versus Daiju Takase
- Alberto Crane Versus Clay French
- Tony Frykland Versus Brian Gassaway
- Logan Clark Versus Mike Marrello
- Chris Guillan Versus Brad Imes
- Jeff Cox Versus Bart Palaszewski
- Rory Markham Versus TBA
- Herc Hayes Versus Kerry Schall
- Ron Fields Versus Aaron Rosa
We can also look forward to three preliminary card bouts they are:
- Dom O’Grady Versus Mike Stumpf
- Joe Jordan Versus Ryan Williams
- John Hosman Versus Christian Reynosa
Not a bad line up for a first promotion eh? It should be noted that other fight leagues have “lent” some of their fighters out for these matches. The specifics of those fighters being loaned out are not yet announced, but one would imagine the organizations get a cut of the profits for doing so. Look for more information about Adrenaline Promotion and this event as it develops.
