A Note From Tito Ortiz
June 30, 2007
This was posted on his MySpace Blog:
Well the time has come once again. One week till fight time. I am ready more now, then I have ever been before. I think this will be the fight of the year, I will put it all out on the line.
I just finished my last hard day of training and I feel great. I ‘ve been doing five 6 mins rounds with 30 sec rest in between and my weight is perfect at 219. Every day I’m running 3 miles in 19.36 with my recovery in 30 seconds… Believe me I’m ready for war.
He wants to fight the best Tito Ortiz? Well he got what he wished for! I’m very excited to fight. I’m fighting for the fan that support me. I’m fighting to shut his mouth. And I’m fighting to show I’m here to stay!!!!!!
I want to thank all the fans and friends that support me for all of my fights. I am going to prove that I have never lost my edge. 7-7-07 The PUNISHING of Rashad Evans will be the beginning!!!
UFC 6 Month Review
June 30, 2007
There is a great photo catalog of the last 6 months in the UFC from NBCSports.com . They really do capture some of the greatest moments lived out from this year. The only thing that really surprised me is that we have already been through half a year!
Houston Alexander vs. Alessio Sakara at UFC 75
June 29, 2007
According to UFCJunkie Alexander is not going to be fighting Forrest Griffin as rumored but will be fighting Alessio Sakara at UFC 75. This should be a very interesting match and I can’t wait to see Alexander fight again after his stomping of Keith Jardine. I really like this guy’s passion for the sport. Not to mention this card is really shaping up.
* Light Heavyweight championship bout: Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs.Dan Henderson
* Heavyweight bout: Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipović vs. Cheick Kongo
* Light Heavyweight bout: Michael Bisping vs. Matt Hamill
* Light Heavyweight bout: Houston Alexander vs. Alessio Sakara
By the way I came across this Highlight Reel of Cro Cop today. Just sickness:

Is Dana White Out Of Control?
June 29, 2007
So I was reading and listening to the FightOpinion.com radio show and they got on the topic of Dana White and all of the enemies he is making. It has been recently talked about how he hates Sherdog.com and sent the owner of Sherdog a text message that said “You are my enemy until the day I die. Fucking embarrassing.”
Ok not that this is very bad but it seems of late I keep hearing of Dana making comments like this. From his back in forth with Tito, his bitch fest with Calvin Ayre of Bodog, his going at it with Sherdog, his recent rejection of UFCmania.com sponsoring a fighter, and the list goes on and on. MMA Komikazee goes into a bit more detail.
One would think Dana would be making a better name for the UFC. I would love to hear everyone’s comments on his recent behavior. Do you think Dana is out of control?

Ortiz Is a Complete Moron -Dana White
June 29, 2007
Well the war of words continues still. This just sounds like pre-main event hype to me though. Dana is trying to egg on the marketability that is Tito Ortiz. Pretty lame if you ask me.
‘There’s a billboard of his big ugly gorilla face at the busiest point in Las Vegas … where it can scare kids who are riding by in their cars. Guess whose ugly head is on our billboard in Times Square? He’s a moron: A complete and total moron. His whole career, he’s stepped over a dollar to pick up a dime. I’m sick of him. It’s time he started beating up someone other than a nearly 50-year-old Ken Shamrock.” Source
Don Frye [Interview]
June 29, 2007
This interview comes from an exclusive transcript with Don Frye from our friends over at the FightCard. Please check out their broadcasts when you can!

Fightcard: What organization did you like fighting for more, UFC or PRIDE?
Don Frye: Oh I’d have to say PRIDE.
Fightcard: Knowing what you know now, if you were just breaking into the sport and PRIDE was still around, what organization would you want to fight for?
Don Frye: I would go with PRIDE obviously. PRIDE and K1. Those two are the best organizations out there as far as the way they treat people.
Fightcard: So how did you feel when you heard PRIDE was being sold to the UFC?
Don Frye: It broke my heart man. Pretty much the end of the sport.
Fightcard: Do you think what UFC is doing is not good for the sport, do you think it’s creating a monopoly?
Don Frye: Yeah it’s like pro wrestling. Everyone in the WCW and ECW showed up in the WWF. After the Shamrock fight he became addicted to pain killers. Made more money in pro wrestling than in UFC. Don also says he hates coaching but he will do it until they fire him. He wants to kill his whole team all and get new ones Says fighting in Japan is like fighting in a sauna. He is in talks with the winner of the Kimbo/Mercer winner (however we were told by CFFC Felix Martinez that Kimbo would be fighting Tank Abbot in the fall in Atlantic City.) He would hire Bas to train him if he would ever fight Fedor
The Fightcard does a Dear Don Segment:
Dear Don,
When I started dating my wife, I’d get serviced all the time. But since I got married 6 months ago it seems that I have to beg for attention, what do you suggest I do?
Don: She’s still servicing me all the time. I don’t know what you’re doing wrong. She’s worn out from visiting my house.
Win a Houston Alexander Signed Glove!
June 27, 2007
I have in my possession one signed glove by Houston Alexander who recently beat the snot out of Keith Jardine. It’s so easy to win there is no reason why you shouldn’t try. All you have to do is look in the sidebar over to the right of this site and enter your email address to be in the drawing.
We will be holding the drawing sometime in the middle of July. We will also be doing monthly drawings for some really cool gear so stay signed up and you could win in the following months. This is just another way for us to show our appreciation to our readers and give back to the UFC community!

I Would Whoop Shamrock’s Ass -Nick Diaz
June 27, 2007
Nick Diaz wants to fight Shamrack. I’m not real sure why he wants to do this but whatever. This was recently posted over at GracieFighter.com It gave me a nice laugh.
Nick Diaz, who is signed with ProElite, has requested to face Frank Shamrock as soon as possible. After a spectacular win against Takanori Gomi, Diaz seems intent on enrolling himself for higher profile fights. With both fighters fighting in the same organization this fight seems the logical next step in what would be an MMA fan’s dream come true.
“I watched his last fight and no disrespect intended but I think I would whoop his ass.”, stated Diaz. A formal offer of intent has been delivered to the promoters to set this fight up and now we await their response.
